Who are you dealing with?
I'm Steve; a retired RAF Officer and Aeronautical Engineer/ Logistician with some skills to offer. I've fettled Helicopters, Fast Jets, and more challengingly, Cambourne's finest building.
The photo was me 40 years ago and now I'm qualified in
C&G 2382 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Level 3 , C&G 2393 Building Regulations Level 3 , C&G 2392 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification Level 2 and AIM Qualifications Level 3 Award in Building, Installation and Property Maintenance Skills as well as C&G Level 1 Dip in Construction Skills and H&S and lastly SCSC green card holder.
What can I do?
Square that something away inside or outside that's been waiting for a while. Most of the things you think are do-able if only you had the time, and a few more that you look at quizzically. I'll sort it for you.
I don't take chances with your home. This includes domestic electrical fixes (including making good) plumbing, tiling, small brickwork and pointing repairs, and some plastering as well. However, If it looks like a saga instead of a novella, I probably can't do it. I just do smaller stuff.
When can I get it done and how much?
I prefer to take one job at a time because this is the thing I want to do - If you're booked in, that's it until the job has finished. I have no interest in project work so it won't be long . There's only me but I'll keep you appraised of costs and if a specialist is needed and update you on the time and the materials required .
A for the costs, I charge a little more for travelling as you might expect, but if you need it non-urgently I can look at bundling the work too. Standard Handyman rates are £35 an hour and it'll be around that, or £200 a day - Electrical work a bit more. I can procure materials or you might choose yourself - I don't mind
